United Way Day of Caring - May 13, 2022

JRC was so fortunate to have two wonderful groups of volunteers on the United Way Day of Caring -

The first group was Miller Weldmaster who volunteered to come to our Myrna A. Pastore JRC Campus and do some much needed landscaping. They purchased pots and filled them with flowers to adorn our entrances and completely cleaned up and planted fruits, vegetables and flowers in our Adult Day Center courtyard. They added color by painting a bird feeder and really go the courtyard ready for our seniors to enjoy!  Also, a hill near the back of our property that needed cleaned up was beautifully landscaped with plants and stones

The second group was from Huntington Bank who volunteered to work at our 14th Street NE Learning Center.  They cleaned up and then mulched all the beds around the center and also cleaned up and planted many fruits, vegetables and flowers in our Sensory Garden for the children to enjoy.  Large stones and pavers were added to make it easier for the children to access different areas of the garden.  What a difference they made to the entire center with all of their hard work!

Thank you!  Thank you!  to both groups of volunteer!  JRC is so grateful for all of your time and effort!!  The following photos show the hard work and the beautiful results of the Day of Caring 2022!
