On May, 27, 2021 a special event was held at the JRC Adult Day Center - yes it was a spiritual wedding between two of our members - Ray and Angie!

They had learned about JRC a few years ago through a marketing event that LeeAnn Chievitz, JRC Marketing set up at Mayfield Manor where they were living.  They and many others were so excited to come and try out our adult day center.  We sent our bus over to pick all of them up for a trial visit day. That began their dating story at JRC!

Fast forward to the Spring of 2021 when they asked LeeAnn to marry them at the center.

With a congregation of members, a ZOOM call of families and their wedding party with April Adler, JRC staff as Maid of Honor, Dave Toth, JRC staff as Best Man, Tom Thompson, JRC Executive Director, as Ring Bearer and Ashley Erskine, JRC staff as Flower Girl, the wedding began with everyone dressed in blue as the direction of the groom. The Wedding March began as they walked down the isle with the Flower Girl dropping rose pedals.  The couple chose a romantic script as they said they vows. A love poem was read and Elvis serenaded them to their favorite song, Love Me Tender, where a few tears were shed.  

The event ended with wonderful congratulations!  The bride through the bouquet and wedding cake was served.

What a wonderful day of celebration at the JRC Adult Day Center with bringing two wonderful people together!
