IG Programming Remotely with ZOOM

JRC’s Intergenerational Connections Program has been on hold due to the pandemic, but that did not stop the senior/adults and children from interacting on ZOOM periodically.

This Spring/Summer of 2021 the children and seniors were becoming reacquainted remotely with some being introduced for the first time. They were introducing themselves with everyone responding hello while repeating their names.  They were both excited to see each other after so very long.

The children shared photos of themselves with the seniors and described what they were doing in the photos. It was fun to hear their descriptions.

They played a rhythm game where they followed a video of tapping out beats - the seniors with noodles and the children with rhythm sticks.  This was a great memory exercise along with physical exercise and hand agility.
